I made this table topper last year. I just need to put the binding on. It will make a nice addition to my patriotic decorations for the summer.

Making progress
Here is the progress I've made to Bedford Skies. I've completed the center of the stars and now I'm working on the flying geese.

Bedford Skies Quilt
I started a new project the other day. This one is from Connecting Threads called Bedford Skies. I bought this kit a few years ago and I'm just getting around to it now. I've never worked on anything with so many stars before. I'm happy that they are bigger pieces.
I learned a trick with flying geese - don't start at the corners. They kept getting jammed and bunched up. I'm sure this isn't any big secret, but I was happy to learn it myself.

Recent projects
I finished two fun wall hangings just in time for fall. They are both from The Wooden Bear. Doing applique is so much fun now that my mom lives close by. Her Bernina has so many more stitches than my old Janome.
Time to return
Yikes!!!! It's been since January since I've posted anything. I'm going to get my act together and start posting my projects.....I'll be back....soon!!!

It's COLD here today!!!!!
I woke up this morning and the temperature is 25 BELOW zero. Yikes. That's really cold, even for Minnesota. I wish I could stay in today and quilt. Maybe I'll get some done tonight and tomorrow.

Psalms 46:1-3, 7
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea: though it's waters roar and foam, though the mountians tremble with its trumult...
The Lord of host is with us: the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Blizzard 2010
I heard that we received around 17 inches of snow last weekend. The roads were awful, and I'm so glad we didn't get stuck out in it. Now we are facing the bitter cold. At least we can say we'll be having a white Christmas. Here's my Welcome Winter garden flag....
