It's COLD here today!!!!!

I woke up this morning and the temperature is 25 BELOW zero.  Yikes.  That's really cold, even for Minnesota.  I wish I could stay in today and quilt.  Maybe I'll get some done tonight and tomorrow.

Lucky me

It's so wonderful to have a Mom who also quilts.  This was a Christmas present....hummmm, what to make????

Psalms 46:1-3, 7

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore, we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea: though it's waters roar and foam, though the mountians tremble with its trumult...

The Lord of host is with us: the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Acts 3:19

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Blizzard 2010

I heard that we received around 17 inches of snow last weekend.  The roads were awful, and I'm so glad we didn't get stuck out in it.  Now we are facing the bitter cold.  At least we can say we'll be having a white Christmas.  Here's my Welcome Winter garden flag....

People who know computers are amazing

I decided to contact Norton about my uploading picture problem.  Through remote access they were able to go into my computer and find a corrupt file which was preventing me from up loading my pictures.  It was amazing and I'm so happy to find the solution.

I'm stumped

I can't upload any pictures from my camera to my computer....and I can't figure out what happened.  URG!!!

I sure hope I can figure it out soon.  Hopefully it's not a VISTA problem.

Let the new swim team season begin

Well today is the first day of this year's swim team practice.  I figured that with both children swimming I'll easily log around 225 hours of sitting at the pool between now and the beginning of March.  This year I'm ready.  I've got MY CHAIR.  I wasn't so lucky last year.  After last year's 25 weeks, I threw my back out and was bedridden for almost a week.

I do, however, use my time wisely.  I usually read or work on our homeschool schedule.  Since both Kelly and Erik are swimming this year, with staggered times, I'll have them bring along school work or reading to fill in their time.  Plus, I've gotten to know so many other parents that I usually end up chatting for the whole time.
